What's the difference between inlaws, and outlaws?

One is wanted.

This weekend, for those of you who missed it, a photo of Mike & Bryn appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press.

Now, Mike wanted to use this photo with the caption:

Brynlee-Ann Dyck, you're the one I pick, (but the parents had something to say about that.)

So, appearing for the first time in print since THIS occurred:

Mike & Bryn!

Don't be late, for a very important date!

Invites are out, and they shore are purdy.

Looking forward to wooing you all.

Always a bridesmaid...

Although things have been slow on the blogging front, there is definitely progress being made.

The girls have tried on many, many dresses while our gorgeous bride looked on.

Please note, Brynderella did NOT look this blissful while shopping for her own dress.

Now, the runners up in living color:

The Polk-Dot:

Basic Black & White:

Black & Red:

And the winner is...

Little black dress!

A special thanks to bridesmaids Cammie and Jessie for their patience. According to Ali, this dress makes her gams look THIS LONG.

If I'm not mistaken, this bridal party is well on their way to being the best looking Wedding of 2010.

HAM AND EGGS - A day's work for a chicken; A lifetime commitment for a pig.

That being said, the menu has been selected!

Brynderella, Mike, Lisa and Felicia met with Michael Rink of Storm Catering this AM, and ironed out all the kinks, and a schedule for the day of has been loosely formed.

Your taste buds will be wowed with a starting soup, salad, main course, 2 sides and deliciously decadent dessert.

Invites should be hitting the mail boxes shortly. When you receive yours, be sure to RSVP no later than May 5th, noting any dietary concerns or restrictions.

There will be a vegetarian option, which is also Gluten Free. We've got your back, celiacs.

Tomorrow, Brynderella meets with a florist to discuss arrangements, and awaits a quote from one other location.

Ducks, in a row.

Let's call it a day

What do you get when you take 5 Dycks and add 3 Webingers? One sexy looking breakfast, that's what.

We eat, and reconvene on Graham Avenue. First stop; Belle Rykiss. How do you make dream dress shopping better? Slap a 70% off sale on it, that's how.

So, we pile into the 'boutique', strip our soles and dive into the fray. What a complete and total bust. Each dress we looked at was sorrier than the one previous. We unknowingly stumbled upon the Formal Graveyard. Where all gowns go to die. 1984 called. It wants it's shoulder pads back.

Next.

Chantal's bridal.

Definitely more upbeat, more choices; and ceratinly more modern. Our darling Brynderella looked fabulous, time and time again, but she was missing that sparkle. Until stock no. 31SRO112.

All of a sudden the air crackled with promise, prospects and possibility. Felicia's eyes glistened with tears, and the rest of us ooohed and ahhhed. Was that a twinkle? Possibly.

We move on.

Little feet were tired, bellies protesting so we dash into soup sandwiches and more for a quick bite. Food was good, but according to Bryn, and I quote, "The bathroom is 1 step away from being an outhouse". We can't win them all.

Onwards and upwards.

Helene's Bridal yielded nothing further. A few laughs, maybe. It was 1987 meets a southern US homecoming, if you can picture that. All the tulleing that you could shake a stick at. And more. Barbie would be envious at the sheer volume of sequins. So not happening.

The Bay Bridal shoppe.

At this point, Brynderella sees nothing but heaps of Chiffon, silk, satin, beadings and crinoline. Lines blur, and she can't distinguish one dress from the next. Our Bride has had enough. We are now in a Vodka state of mind.

A quick boot to Polo Park to scout out bridesmaid dresses turns up a few possibilities, but everyone is shopped out.

The only thing we are sure of, is that we need a drink. Stat.

Girls just wanna have fun

9:30 AM. Breakfast with the pretty half of the bridal party, and then to turn bridal shops on their ear.

Bryn will look stunning in just about anything, the tough part will be deciding between stunning, and dazzling.

Here's to a long day of laughter. Say yes, to the dress!

Location, Location, Location!

A whirlwind tour this afternoon left everyone a little breathless but excited. The venue has been secured, the invites designed and tomorrow, the hunt for a perfect dress begins.

She said yes!

Isn't that how any great love story starts?

A tentative date of May 15th, has been selected. The bridal party, chosen. The venue, all but booked.

Coming soon:

An introduction to the wedding party.

Congratulations, Bryn and Mike!
